Elements Jazz
Elements Jazz is a Paris ensemble in love with the music it grew up on — the great jazz standards of the 1930s to the 1970s, from swing and bebop to bossa, soul and funk. Every set is a short journey through those golden eras, carried by swing, blues and a touch of groove.
The quartet
We met at the American School of Modern Music and the Paris College of Music, and we've been playing together for years.
- Arnaud Quercy — piano. The cornerstone of the group; technique and emotion in equal measure.
- Elliot Langlois — double bass. A deep, rhythmic foundation that holds everything together.
- Romain Courty — drums. Punchy, versatile playing across swing, bebop and more contemporary grooves.
- Pierre-Alexis Courty — guitar. From soft bossa chords to energetic funk — turning the trio into a full quartet.

How we play
A line-up that flexes to the occasion:
- Duo — piano and double bass
- Trio — adding drums
- Quartet — trio plus guitar, vocals or saxophone
Sets run from 45 minutes to 3 hours, we bring our own PA when a room needs it, and we're as at home in a grand hall as in an intimate bar — always billed directly by the musicians, with no intermediaries.
A few years on the road
We've been lucky — emblematic Parisian halls, luxury hotels and restaurants, private and corporate nights, and a handful of residencies we hold dear: the Bœuf sur le Toit, the Blaine Bar, Monsieur Mouche, Froufrou.
Rather than list it all, we'd rather show you: browse our concerts — each is a small piece of our story, and together they tell it better than we could.
Repertoire
We reinterpret Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker and many others, always with a personal, contemporary touch. See the repertoire.
